we had a wonderful celebration at my moms for the inauguration...we toasted with dye-free/fruit popsicles (mom goes a little overboard ;) for the kids...then she gives me a glass of patron..thanks a lot...j/k it was a ton of fun...Jamesy was out of town ;( figures...but still we had a blast...
the kids dancing to along with President Obama and First Lady..so sweet..except for the fact that jamir is most likely a streaker at heart...I am surprised he (atleast) has his shirt on in this picture..lol

Yessirr...my FIRST PLACE trophy that I am so very proud of!

okay, so I used to be a excellent runner...what happened? kids? life? laziness? all of the above. WELL I have made a resolution..something to the effect of a "new year's" but this is a little different...because there is no stigma that goes along with those "new year's types" that always seem to get broken..this one I'm going to stick with! Here is my first attempt at seeing where I stand as of right now!

I'm excited and look forward to increasing my distance and time in the future. pic's to come...

I love to run, when I run it is like I am free from life. That is when I can let my "mind breathe". Today, I had something come to mind...running IS a metaphor to life. No one wants to get out an exercise, you kinda force yourself to just do it, it is the repetition of something that makes you stronger and better. The first day you get out there it is GREAT, your body "remembers" all of the motions and you FEEL great, the next day it can be more of a struggle to get out there...you’re sore and tired and it is better to just do what you’re used to doing, which is nothing (and isn’t that just like anything in life...when you run back to your old habits and ways of doing things..that might not even be working). Living life fulfilled is in the resistance of doing what YOU want, to do what is good for you, and what you should to be doing. Once you get into a habit and fight against doing/being the same thing/way, it will become natural and ultimately easy, and then you can build upon that greatness and reach further (or higher). I, also, always wondered why something that is so good for you, that is mentally freeing, stress relieving, and good for your overall health, can be so painful and difficult. Your mind will tell you not to do it, but, again, like life if you just fight and get out there and just do (whatever it may be) you will feel better once have done it!! Life is about not giving up on your self or ANYTHING that is important to you. It is definitely more tempting to take the easy road, verses building your strength and character...soon it will just be natural...and become part of who you are...and then you will feel great at the "end".

SO after collecting all of series one, which had proven to be a daunting task ;) I was afraid they were going to release another series..which they indeed have! and now I just MUST get all of them..grrreat, seing that they are 8.00 a pop! Luckily, my first six boxes have no duplicates-I'm definitely on a roll this time ;)

ahh! yet another page to keep me busy..what am I thinking? I am (most likely) going to use this as an arena to vent (mostly to myself) since I don't know many members that subscribe (they're all busy losing their minds on myspace..ha) although I do indulge from time to time in the myspace world I needed something new! I signed on with cafemom..there are no men (or crazy ex'es) on that site, so I figured that would definitely keep my fiance and I's arguments to a minimum ;) about the whole thing, but it turned out to be a total disappointment!! I (think) I had a facebook acct. at one point...completely lame! Oh, and the b*stards at flickr completely deleted my entire account because I sold something on there...I had NO idea that was not allowed..who really reads the "terms and conditions" anyway?? Sooo this brings me to blogging...yay! I just hope I can recruit some more people to come join me...and take a break from that relationship destroyer they call MYSPACE!
